Update Regarding Provincetown Marina Operations and COVID-19

Dear Guests,

We hope you and your family members are safe and healthy. Provincetown Marina’s highest priority is the well-being and safety of our guests and associates. In response to COVID-19 we have implemented a number of changes at our property to assure that you will have a comfortable and safe visit. At this time it is a Massachusetts State mandate that everyone wears a face mask or cloth covering both inside and outside of public spaces if it is not possible to maintain a 6-foot social distance. For that reason, we request that you carry and wear, when necessary, a face mask or cloth covering when you visit Provincetown Marina. Masks must be worn when visiting the marina office and restrooms (unless you have a medical condition). We are following updates to the State’s guidelines daily. As you make plans to visit Provincetown our team can provide you with all the necessary updates and information regarding local and regional protocol.

No better way to stay socially distant than to experience a blissful getaway on your boat!

In all areas of our property we have implemented enhanced sanitation protocol with the highest-grade products. We thoroughly sanitized all showers and all contamination points (i.e., handles, faucets, knobs, fixtures, etc.) using Bioesque, an all-natural, botanical, non-toxic, broad-spectrum and safe cleaner, effective at killing 99.9% of all viruses including COVID-19. The restrooms are constantly monitored and disinfected throughout the day by our cleaning staff and displays a sanitation log in each public restroom. We have also strategically placed hand sanitizer stations throughout the property to keep you protected, including next to our marina gangway gates and in our marina office.

Our marina associates have been trained in exercising the recommended guidelines set forth by the State, the CDC, the WHO and our local and regional boating associations. Our marina staff will be respectfully practicing social distancing and will be wearing protective masks if unable to keep to a 6-foot social distance.

We request that our marina guests practice the following State guidelines for recreational boating:

  • Only persons from the same household should be together on a boat at one time.
  • No more than 10 people may be in a boat at one time.
  • No gathering or groups of persons from multiple households will be permitted on boat ramps, docks, piers etc., and all users shall practice strict social distancing.
  • All recreational crafts shall remain a safe distance apart. Tying boats or other crafts together is prohibited.

Launch Services

  • Launch captain and riders must keep at least 6 feet apart and wear proper face covering.
  • If social distancing cannot be accomplished in a single trip, then separate trips must occur.

Dinghy Dock/ Fuel Dock

  • All dinghies must wait for the dinghy dock to be cleared of any and all persons before approaching.
  • Fuel dock operators and customers shall keep vessels spread on the fuel dock at least 6 feet apart.

All recreational boating is subject to the discretion of local officials, harbormasters, and law enforcement.

As government guidelines change, we will update this information. In the meantime, we are always available to answer any questions and offer any assistance. Please reach us at 508-487-0571 or tryan@ptownmarina.com.

Thank you for your cooperation! Stay well and safe travels!
