Provincetown Public Library
If rainy days make you want to curl up with a book, head to the Provincetown Public Library. Not only will you find a selection of great reads, but also a replica fishing schooner measuring more than 66 feet in length. The vessel is a tribute to the historic Rose Dorothea, that won the Lipton Cup for Provincetown all the way back in 1907.
Interested in books you can purchase and take home? Head to Provincetown Book Shop and browse their collection of books, records, and more.
Sniffs of Adventure
If you also crave the coziness of a candle on a rainy day, head to Sniffs of Adventure. Pick out one of their many adventurous scents (some are even Provincetown themed!) or make your own in a candle making class! Their “Sip ‘n Sniff” sessions include refreshments and snacks and participants will be able to make two customized 16-ounce soy candles.
Commercial Street
Use a rainy day as an opportunity to treat yourself! There are plenty of ways to find comfort on Commercial Street. Find some well-deserved relaxation with a massage at Ptown Massage + Bodywork. Some retail therapy may serve you well, stop into Cuffy’s or Sharky's and pick out a sweatshirt to get comfy in and to commemorate your visit to the Cape. Then grab a sweet treat at Cabot’s Candy or Provincetown Fudge Factory. Even when the sun is not out, it’s never a bad day for ice cream. Grab a scoop (or two!) from Lewis Brothers Homemade Ice Cream – made fresh each day with local ingredients.
